Corporate and shareholder disputes
Disputes between shareholders, directors and companies concerning challenges to corporate resolutions; the withdrawal and exclusion of shareholders; the dissolution and liquidation of companies; directors’ liability; and the interpretation, performance or breach of shareholders’ agreements.
M&A-related disputes
Disputes arising in connection with or after company acquisitions, including claims for breach of representations and warranties, price adjustments and breach of post-closing obligations.
Contractual and commercial disputes
Disputes arising from the interpretation, performance, breach or termination of contracts and commercial relationships, including agency, distribution and franchising; real estate, financial and commercial brokerage; services and construction; the development and implementation of technology systems and projects; business and commercial leases; joint venture agreements; and sponsorship.
Financial services and insurance disputes
Disputes relating to advice on and the marketing of financial, banking and investment products; portfolio management; the enforcement of security; and cover and indemnities under insurance contracts.
Damages claims
Claims in tort and for defective products; damages for infringements of competition law, including cartels; and disputes concerning unfair competition and the protection or misuse of trade secrets.
Recognition and enforcement of judgments
We advise and represent clients in proceedings for the recognition and enforcement in Spain of judgments given in other jurisdictions, including asset tracing and, where necessary, applications for interim measures to secure their effectiveness.
Cross-border disputes
International proceedings
Where a dispute requires proceedings before courts in other jurisdictions, we coordinate the strategy with the local lawyers selected for the matter.
